In Praise of Cilantro




If you love Cilantro as much as we do, and if you have as much as we seem to have this year, may I suggest this recipe for Cilantro Cream. It is great for setting a snack off, or as an addition to dinner. Enjoy summer style...

8 ounce cream cheese (soften)
1 tblsp sour cream
1 7 ounce tomatillo salsa ( less if desired)
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp garlic powder
1 bunch fresh cilantro
1 tblsp fresh lime juice

all in food processor until creamy

  1. i used to hate when my mom added cilantro to salads when i was a kid. never understood why she couldn't just save some on the side for herself. now that i'm older, i'm growing to like the sharp taste of it.
