Moguli Kilim
New in house Kilim keeping the kitchen just a little bit warmer. Picked up at Nomad Rugs just around the corner from our place. 100% wool, vegetable dye. The Mogol weavers are a little known ethnic group from northern Afghanistan who are descendants of the Mongols who invaded this region in the 13th century. They have been living in this refugee camp in Pakistani Baluchistan for the past 16 years. Proceeds from the sale of this rug benefit Barakat Inc.
