Magdalene Odundo

Born in Kenya in 1950, Odundo recieved her education in India, Kenya, and England as well as traveling to San lldefonso Pueblo in New Mexico to observe the making of traditional black-ware vessels. Her works are created by burnishing the surface of the project, with smooth polished objects. She then adds slips, which are burnished again, then fired.
