Clearing out the library for the weekend, including from the top: vintage brass plum bob, interior of the Berkeley Art Museum, Modern Packaging and Display World Magazines from the 40's and 50's at the Prelinger Archive, indigo textile bookmark, Be a Good Neighbor coffee from Japan, new 901 Hold-All (thanks fellas), a few studio hangers, and a sentimental card from Osborn/Woods, courtesy of G and G.

Seriously nerding out on the new hardcore Shimpo Slab Roller recently added to the studio. Double roller, dual height adjustment, dual clamped table tops and wagon wheel. Made in the USA.

Powr House jacket from Montgomery Ward picked up from the Rose Bowl. Everything is in good order except for the removal of the top front pockets. Nicely worked in, soft with good stitching. I had two new pockets added to the interior with Boro scraps and ghosted the exterior pockets in remembrance. Should be good for the colder wood shed days...

Vintage Threads

NMc's Great Grandmothers wooden spools of silk from Belding Brothers & Co. San Francisco. The company started in 1876 in San Francisco and soon merged with other mills, probably sometime between 1900-1910.

The Wheel

The studio rig and one of the early Brent Wheels before the company was bought by Amaco. My wheel is probably from 1970-75. A few idiosyncrasies aside (kinda loud and not super smooth), it serves me fine. With not a single part made of plastic, this puppy weighs a ton.

High School Kenton

Family leather document case recently repaired and reconditioned. The case itself says Kenton, but I can't find any other information thus far. There are some illegible scribbles on the interior, probably from my brother circa 1985. It was also my document case during my High School days. The final image is before repair at Mike's of Noe Valley.

Heath Effort

As noted on R4TH, Heath Ceramics donated 25% of sales over a weekend to help Architecture for Humanity in their efforts to aid in the rebuilding of Haiti. Heath was able to raise over $20,000! Pictured here, my new stack mug in white. More HERE
