JB Blunk chair at the top of Sanchez street in SF. I have walked past this many times thinking it was a Blunk, but when the landscape crew finally cut back the bushes, a plaque was revealed. JB Blunk indeed.

Secret Shop/ Update

Secret shop update, now including the attached studio where NMc and I stayed for Xmas, complete with sliding interior bookshelves revealing  the kitchen. Many choice woodworking books on the shelves. Previous Post HERE

Street Find-SF

Tree Wolf

On site milling from Berkeley's Tree Wolf . All of this wood is from one 30 year old Redwood that was cut down on SFAI's campus, and is being used by my new class "sustainable studio" to make benches for the school. The milling process is pretty insane, a jig is attached to a chainsaw that runs horizontal through the lumber. According to the wolf, the wood will take 2 years to dry.
